Employee Type: Full time Location: ON Georgetown Job Type: Supply Chain Logistics Job Posting Title: Team Lead, Warehouse CAN Job Description: Summary: Reporting to the Senior Warehouse Supervisor, this is a twelve (12) month contract position with the potential to lead to a permanent role within our organization. Afternoon Shift: 3:30 pm to 11:30 pm Location: Georgetown, Ontario The Warehouse Supervisor oversees the operation of the Warehouse, including specific responsibility for the organization, scheduling, and direction of warehouse operations, employee training, safety, GMPs and housekeeping. Responsibilities: * Ensuring that all warehouse operations are conducted in a safe manner and maintain adherence to all corporate and divisional safety policies. * Organizing warehouse operations including confirming loads, arranging pick-up and delivery appointments. * Scheduling warehouse personnel to ensure proper staffing coverage to receive and ship products in a productive and cost efficient manner. * Reviewing daily shipping and receiving schedules and plans. Prioritizing daily work schedules to meet customer and company delivery requirements. * Overseeing order accuracy, productivity levels, and general maintenance of the warehouse. * Ensuring all required paperwork, including shipping documents and warehouse staff checklists are completed in a timely manner. * Performing all supervisory related duties and responsibilities inherent to the position including collective agreement administration. Qualifications & Experience: * Post-Secondary education in logistics, warehousing, or a related field, or the demonstrated equivalent in directly related work experience. * Five years supervisory experience in a warehousing environment, preferably in the Food Industry. * Ability to multi-task, demonstrate initiative, meet deadlines, and superior organizational skills. * Strong interpersonal skills and professional verbal and written communication skills. * PC proficiency - need to be proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel. Demonstrated experience with warehouse related software including RF scanners and JD Edwards is preferred. * Demonstrated experience supervising in a unionized environment including collective agreement administration. #IND1
