Sr. Associate Product Management - Card Preapproval Platform

Historically, applying for a credit card meant taking a chance of being declined. With Capital One's new preapproval engine, customers can see what products they will be approved for with a high degree of accuracy without impacting their credit score. The Preapproval channel accounts for a growing share of all of Capital One's new accounts and prevents millions of people from being declined each year.

The product manager will define and lead the product strategy for Capital One's Credit Card Preapproval Engine, driving breakthrough customer and business outcomes. You will collaborate with with tech, business, marketing, design, and other product stakeholders to develop and deliver on next generation capabilities for this market-leading experience

In this role, you will:
  • Set product vision and lead road mapping, goal setting, prioritizing, capability delivery, and product roll-out strategy
  • Develop and lead customer research, prototyping, and test and learn agendas with a focus on building MVP experiences to test hypotheses
  • Apply your deep understanding of user needs and business goals to inform effective strategies.
  • Serve as a Product Owner, leading a high-performing agile team to translate business strategies into products and features that delight our customers and position our company for substantial growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with leaders and stakeholders from a wide range of domains including engineering, design, business analysis, marketing, data science, and operations.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or military experience
  • At least 1 year of product management experience or at least 1 year of experience in product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering
  • 1+ years of experience translating business strategy or analysis into consumer facing digital products
  • 1+ years of experience working on core product platforms powering digital experiences
  • 1+ years working with cross functional teams as a product owner in an agile development process
