SummaryThis position is located in the Air Traffic Organization (ATO), Management Services, People Services Directorate, Policy Oversight Group. This Group is responsible for representing the ATO and for providing input to corporate Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) organizations on matters related to organizational realignment and reorganization; performance management; awards; records, directives and correspondence management. Learn more about this agency Responsibilities**Due to the Pandemic, and individual states with different phases of reopening, your report date to your official duty station/facility will be delayed until such time as employees are allowed to report to the workplace. You may telework up to the maximum extent possible, up to and including full time, until it is safe to relocate.**As a Management and Program Analyst, he/she applies knowledge of various analytical and evaluative techniques to assist in the development of survey requests, which asks for comments on FAA corporate administrative processes to assist in developing and implementing individual ATO administrative policies for programs such as awards, telework and records/directives management. He/she performs multiple and varying assignments under the limited direction of the Team Manager or more experienced professional. This work supports and is vital to the success of ATO administrative program that affect all ATO Service Units.He/she applies experience and advanced knowledge of qualitative and quantitative methods and techniques necessary to assess programs and recommend solutions to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the assigned program area. He/she tracks and analyzes data to aid in developing performance metrics. Applies knowledge of project management sufficient to perform some leadership functions for small projects/programs or other work activities. He/she applies experience using automated tools, such as the Knowledge e Skills Network to compile and coordinate program input s from each ATO Service Units. He/she performs assignments that may require knowledge and experience working across functional and/or organizational lines.As an individual contributor, he/she applies analytical skill to analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of assigned ATO programs such as the awards, telework and directives/ records management programs. He/she applies knowledge of project requirements to respond to questions on program criteria and to explain the difference between programs. He/she collects and analyzes data to assist in the preparation and review of reports and material for internal management review and decision-making including graphs and charts, PowerPoint presentations, written responses etc. Applies skill and experience using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and various business analysis tools to aid in the development and importing of reports.Contacts typically are internal and external to AJG. He/she has regular contacts among ATO Service Units, customers, and other external parties to share information about the FAA/ ATO and to explain the applications of policies and procedures.Although established policies/procedure s provide guidance for most assignments, he/ she is allowed considerable discretion to select the most appropriate approach(es) or recommend new approaches. Assignments often require reviews of policies s and precedents under the limited guidance of a manager or other employee. He/she resolves most problems and work issues without the assistance of the team manager. He/she refers problems that require more attention to more experienced managers and professionals and may help them develop and recommend solutions.The Team Manager periodically reviews work typically at major milestones and at completion, for policy compliance and alignment with the requirements of projects and/ or other work activities.Travel Required Occasional travel - The job may require travel from time- to-time, but not on a regular basis.
