You will work with a team of talented designers, developers and architects to develop custom mobile solutions for some of the best brands in the world. The design team at Shockoe is responsible for defining the complete user experience, from strategy and ideation through implementation and iteration based on objectives and key results. Responsibilities: Consistently able to: Keep up with emerging trends in areas related to contemporary UI design and UX strategies Establish visual identity and UI patterns for digital products Design visually attractive and usable software for Android, iOS, cross platform, web frameworks, and potentially Head Mounted Devices (HMDs) Organize assets, files and layers for collaborating with fellow designers and developers Create, document, and work within design systems Gather, interpret, and solve for project requirements Conduct user research to inform design decisions Effectively and respectfully communicate (and coach) with clients Collaborate with developers to optimize designs for technical considerations Communicate with your team regarding timelines, expectations, and deliverables Learn and keep up to date with best practices with regards to designing for accessibility and inclusiveness Skills You are: A strong team player confident working with strategists, developers, and fellow designers to build a product youre proud of A source of inspiration, always raising the benchmark for quality work Proficient with Sketch, Figma, or XD, and capable in the most common Creative Cloud apps Comfortable interacting with both clients and users Able to meet deadlines. And fun to work with! Familiar with design systems and building scalable designs Comfortable establishing a visual style and tone and/or adapting to working within an established visual identity Someone who can prioritize, but also sweats the details You have: A strong portfolio that shows off your digital interface designs that are both beautiful and functional Mastercraft skills in a UI tool. Figma is preferred, sketch or XD is acceptable. Solid skills in at least one of either illustrator, after effects, or photoshop Minimum 2 years working in a visual creative role at a professional organization (digital software/web/apps preferred) Familiarity with Material Design and Human Interface Guidelines, and general knowledge of common technical frameworks like angular, react native, etc. A clear understanding of visual design and UI design fundamentals Understanding of designing for Accessibility guidelines An interest in learning and contributing to product strategy and its related exercises - stakeholder workshops, design sprints, analytics, research, etc. If you read this and are concerned you dont check all the boxes, write to us anyway.
