Description Job Description:Job DescriptionThe Mission Solutions Group at Leidos has a government contract with a classified customer in the National Capital Region that requires an Environmental Engineer. The candidate must demonstrated experience with Environmental Health and Safety and Environmental equipment testing. The candidate must possess a current TS/SCI with a Polygraph.Primary ResponsibilitiesA cents € cents A' A' A' Plan and conduct environmental training, equipment testing and Quality AssuranceA cents € cents A' A' A' Perform all environmental testing, temperature, humidity and vibration, on devices per customer standardsA cents € cents A' A' A' Perform mechanical test and inspection of devicesA cents € cents A' A' A' Communicate test results in both oral and written formatsA cents € cents A' A' A' Create test plans and operate environmental testing chambersA cents € cents A' A' A' Provide environmental oversight and guidance to a test teamA cents € cents A' A' A' Coordinate with government customers on a routine basis to recommend environmental future testsA cents € cents A' A' A' Lead team in reviewing new mechanical equipment received from contractors and provide feedback on construction methods and qualityA cents € cents A' A' A' Lead team in troubleshooting mechanical equipment problems and providing recommendations to customer management regarding solutionsA cents € cents A' A' A' Lead the research into equipment anomalies and recommend solutions.A cents € cents A' A' A' Ensure all equipment documentation is complete and accurateA cents € cents A' A' A' Communicate with vendors regarding new capabilities and regarding maintenance requirements for existing machines.A cents € cents A' A' A' Attain and maintain customer-specified certification with the safe handling, application, processing and disposal of Hazardous Materials.A cents € cents A' A' A' Coordinate and communicate with all local and field personnel requiring shop support.A' A' Basic QualificationsA cents € cents A' A' A' Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or Chemical Engineering and 8 years of relevant experience.
