An electronics manufacturing client seeks an experienced accountant forA' handling accounts payable, accounts receivables, and collections. The controller ultimately wants this person to move into her role down the road.It's a wonderful opportunity to get tons of exposure in a fast-paced environment.The role is located in the Frederick, MD area and is 100% onsite.JOB SUMMARY:Responsible to the Accounting Manager for complete accounting administrative duties and responsibilities.Processing basic Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable for Digital Systems CorporationCoordinating and matching vendor invoices with DSC purchase orders and packing lists.Resolving any discrepancies and entering invoices in Great Plains accounting system and filing.Processing payments of invoices of Digital Systems Corporation vendors; determining weekly payments, print checks, gathering and filing copies of each check, invoice, purchase order and packing list.Maintaining current cash balance both G/L and available bank balances.Processing cash receipts including credit card payments, wire transfers, monitoring customer account details on payments and periodic account receivables from DSC customers.Help maintain current cash balances in general ledger accounts.Monitor customer orders that are not releasable due to payment requirements. The process includes coordinating payments; notifying all departments; and coordinating with customer.Maintaining vendor files; processing invoices; field and satisfying customer inquiries.Additional administrative duties include organizing mail; filing accounting paperwork; and maintaining files.Additional accounting related duties as needed.JOB QUALIFICATIONS:Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applicationsWorking knowledge of Great Plains Systems a plus.BS degree in Accounting with 1-3 years working experience.A' A' Multi-tasking ability with strong organizational skillsExcellent writing skills and communication skills.A' A' A' A' Self-starter, able to take projects to completionWe are an equal opportunity employer and make hiring decisions based on merit.
