Description SECURITY ENGINEER (NGA-21-1340-W): Bowhead seeks a Security Engineer to support the upcoming National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Industrial and Physical Security Division contract located in Springfield, VA. This contract is tasked with supporting the mission of the Office of Security (SIS): Secure NGA's people, information, systems, and facilities, while providing guidance and oversight to support an effective protection program in support of the geospatial-intelligence (GEOINT) mission of NGA. The Security Engineer will provide technical support services necessary to complete associated tasks and responsibilities for the NGA Office of Security in the functional area of Security Engineering Services for the Security Management System (SMS). Responsibilities may include: - Work collaboratively as a member of integrated teams that may be comprised of government, military and other contractors, internal and external to SIS and NGA. - Monitor and manage security programs and provides status reports and recommendations for decisions. - Assist, collaborate, and coordinate with other SIS offices and divisions (SISP, SISO, SISI, SISX, SISG etc.). - Develop solutions, and convey to internal and external customers. - Provide agency level technical expertise concerning the SMS security discipline. - Prepare cost analyses for security projects. - Monitor security applications through the review and analysis of appropriate metrics and maintains required records. - Provide guidance as required in implementing security requirements. - Manage project milestones. - Develop life cycle plans relevant to SMS support issues. - Update and maintain appropriate records (eg database and hardcopy) of security actions. - Conduct inspections and performs assistance visits, as required. - Liaise with members of the DOD, the IC and other officials as required to keep abreast of current policies. Requirements A cents € cents BA/BS degree in relevant field is preferred. A cents € cents Minimum of ten (10+) years of relevant experience in the following: - Design, development, implementation, and/or integration of an enterprise-wide Access Control/Security Management system. - System designs that encompass multiple networks to include those with differing data protections/classification requirements. - Providing security engineering, integration services, technical assessments, and solutions including analyzing security needs, recommending system security requirements, providing security architectures/design recommendations, assist in the development and implementation of detailed security designs and measures to safeguard NGA personnel and information. A cents € cents Must also be experience with the following: - Software House "A< oeC-Cure' family of software applications - BOSCH camera devices to include software, applications, and video storage requirements. - Future Fiber Technologies intrusion detection devises to include software and applications. - Zenitel.Steftofon intercom systems - Intelligence Community Badging System (ICBS) architecture and requirements. A cents € cents Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. A cents € cents Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts. A cents € cents Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team. SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Must hold and be able to maintain security clearance at the Top Secret level. Must be SCI eligible or able to obtain SCI. US Citizenship is a requirement for Top Secret clearance at this location.
