Solutions are imaginative, thorough and practical.RESPONSIBILITIES:Originates electrical deliverables and documentsPrepares technical reports related to specific design issuesUses available design tools for efficient execution of project deliverablesParticipates in technical meeting with customer and engineering functional staffPerforms intra-discipline/contractor coordinationAssists in constructability reviewsPerforms overall system design and associated coordinationPerforms electrical system calculations on simple power systemsUses manual calculations to check ETAP reportsSelects and specifies low voltage equipment and bulk materialsPrepares material requisitions for low voltage equipment and bulk materialsAssists in the development of simple medium voltage one-line diagramsPrepares equipment arrangementsSmall project field assignmentUses conduit and cable schedule reports to review designEducation Requirements5-7 experience in substation testing and maintenance with a Bachelor's degree in Engineering3-5 years of experience with a Master's degreeAbilitiesExposure to computer screens for an extended period of time.Sitting for extended periods of time.Reach by extending hands or arms in any direction.Have finger dexterity in order to manipulate objects with fingers rather than whole hands or arms, for example, using a keyboard.Listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.Communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.Read and understand information and ideas presented in writing.Apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.Identify and understand the speech of another person.EOE Minorities/Females/Protected Veterans/DisabledVEVRAA Contractor
