Together, we're pioneering the future of science and medicine, developing products that enable researchers in the fight to save lives.Essential Job Functions:Develops Training Tools for direct and indirect manufacturing Positions with primary focus on all Production roles.Develops new tools / training aides to support quicker training through not only written forms but also with a focus on short videos to support the learning process.Works with plant management to assess employee skills to identify area requiring training.Evaluates organizational performance to ensure that training is meeting business needs.Coordinates/develops a comprehensive training program that includes new-hire orientations, on-the-job training, refresher training, and formal training progression.Closely cooperates with supervisors on the shop floor to assure the workforce has the skills required to meet our production, quality, customer service, and safety goals.Obtains trainee evaluations, in conjunction with the CDT, by initiating, distributing, and collecting evaluation forms.Gather and evaluate information from employees and management on previous training to identify weaknesses and areas that need additional training.Assists in identifying operational opportunities for continuous improvement, initiating changes to processes as needed.Prepares materials for training sessions; assists employees with participating in the appropriate learning opportunities for their business group.Coordinates the scheduling of training events, production of event materials, availability of instructors and location schedules.Coordinates with business leaders and other staff on a variety of learning issues.Participates with Leads to ensure proper procedures and activities are maintained, including but not limited to: SAP transactions, variance identification, direct labor variance (productivity), and assisting with hourly count metric calculation.Supports all 5S, Kaizen, and Shin activities as it relates to training, education, and CDT activities.Attend seminars and meetings to learn new training methods and techniques and use the knowledge to prepare and coordinate future training sessionsMinimum Qualifications:Associates Degree in Technology or related fieldMinimum of five (5) years related experience in a lean manufacturing environment.Previous work experience as a Training Coordinator, Training Facilitator, Trainer or a similar role in manufacturing is preferred.Position Competencies:Excellent time management skills, public speaking skills, problem-solving skills and both verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in word processing and presentation softwareKnowledge about traditional and modern training methods and techniquesExceptional organization skills, leadership and interpersonal skillsAbility to work with a team and have attention to detailKnowledgeable about learning management systems, instructional design and e-learning platformsOther Requirements:Charts the CourseDrives Innovation and GrowthLeads Through DMSBuilds People, Teams, and Organizations!Acts with IntegrityWhen you join us, you'll also be joining Danaher's global organization, where 69,000 people wake up every day determined to help our customers win.
