We strive to provide success paths toward mental and physical health, continued sobriety, job training and employment with a living wage, affordable housing, and ultimately living independently and confidently.SOME Inc., is looking for a full-time Porter to support our Property Management department.Position Description: The Porter's primary function is to provide the upkeep and maintenance of the facilities within the portfolio, as well as provide a comfortable, clean, and dignified home for residents. Performs cleaning of the buildings and grounds and provides light maintenance as defined hereinafter.Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm (40 hours/week)QualificationsRequired: Some HS Education or GED; 1+ years of janitorial experience.Required License/Certification: Must possess and maintain a vehicle and valid driver's license, as well as personal car liability insurance coverage. This is a contingency of employment. The vehicle should be safe and reliable (mileage will be reimbursed).Skills/Abilities:* Knowledge of cleaning and maintenance techniques* Customer service skills* Flexibility with the ability to multi-task despite competing priorities* Organized with attention to details and ability to work independently* Time management skills* Basic computer skills* Effective communication skills with the ability to read and write* Relationship building skills* Ability to communicate with diverse audiences* Ability to set professional boundariesExpected Contributions: Maintenance & Grounds* Follows maintenance checklist to ensure facilities are safe and presentable* Provides regular cleaning of all common areas, bathrooms, lounges, kitchens, etc.* Maintains building exterior through regular cleaning and ground maintenance* Coordinates daily trash collections, empties trash containers and manages bulk or regular pick-up* Coordinate quarterly deep cleanings* Maintain inventory of cleaning, maintenance and building supplies* Provides training on cleaning techniques, as needed* Provides snow and ice removal from walkways* Inputs work order into work order system, as needed* Performs walk-thru with contractors, inspectors, or Facilities Management, as needed* Performs walk-thru (move-in and move-out) and room inspections on regular schedule* Maintains buildings safety and security, and reviews security cameras, as needed* Informs Property Manager of any emergency and security concerns* Performs seasonal landscaping dutiesClosing Date: Open Until FilledTo Apply: Go to our career page at and click on the search icon to locate this position.
