Here are examples of the work that needs to be done: General Accounting Accounts payable/receivable and cash disbursements Bank reconciliations/Credit card reconciliations Vendor statement reconciliations Billing and collections Sales tax payments Reporting Prepare financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and work successfully with external accounting firm. Be a team player Be detail-oriented, accurate, and efficient Here are the qualifications: Knowledge of financial statements and financial statement analysis Current knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and business entity taxation for companies Proficiency in the following areas: Accounts Payable and Receivable accounting Billing and collections systems Cash management and forecasting General Accounting Excel or comparable spreadsheet (Intermediate level) Solid understanding of Quickbooks Tech savvy and quick to learn new systems (like our catering system) 5+ years of related experience An associates or coursework in accounting or business (BS in accounting is a plus) A combination of experience and education, combined with the ability to "roll" (see above) Business communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to meet critical deadlines and overtime hours as required.
