Building Maintenance Technician ($25/hr) Bethesda, Maryland Apply for This Job Employment Type Full time Minimum Experience Mid-level Compensation $25/hr Building Maintenance Technician - $25/hr - Bethesda, MD Specifics : + 8am-4:30pm with the requirement of being on-call one week out of the month ($33/hr if you are required to complete on-call work)+ Light HVAC PM, handling standard leaks, taking boiler and chiller readings+ Responsible for handling 4 buildings in close proximity in Bethesda+ Preferred MD 3rd Class license Performs a variety of skilled and semiskilled trades to support mechanical, electrical, heating, ventilating, and air conditioning machinery as well as other tasks such as plumbing, doors and locks, floor systems, roof systems, and structural components. Works with a variety of skilled craft personnel with backgrounds in buildings operations and maintenance. The person in this position takes direction from engineers and chief engineers. This position reports to the Project Manager.DUTIES:+ Performs quality maintenance support of the facility, utilities, and equipment in support of the assigned building(s)+ Performs all tasks in compliance with company policies in a safe manner.+ Repairs, maintains, and installs machinery and mechanical equipment in accordance with diagrams, manuals, and manufacturers' specifications. Includes, but not limited to, pumps, fans, motors, valves, piping, controls, dampers, etc.+ Performs preventive maintenance as directed by engineers and the Lead Engineer.+ Answers trouble calls throughout the facility+ Maintains tools, equipment, and supplies to maintain an orderly work area.+ Trains new and less experienced maintenance workers.+ Other duties as assignedREQUIREMENTS:+ High School diploma or equivalent+ 3 years of experience working in building operation and maintenance+ Demonstrated mechanical aptitude+ Experience operating, troubleshooting, maintaining, installing, and repairing equipment.+ Must be team-oriented+ Good communication skills must communicate effectively in English+ Must be able to obtain a government clearance+ Must meet the requirements of the occupation such as lifting 50 lbs., walking distances, kneeling for 1 hour, and climbing 30 ft. ladders.+ Must have a clean driving record and reliable transportation This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by this employee.
