Overview: Steampunk is supporting a government customer that is organized into agile teams working to develop integrated solutions using an Agile DevSecOps Framework. The Solution Architect will build and lead multiple agile teams to support enterprise-class software applications. The current technology stack includes front-end web interfaces, web services, server-side business logic batch jobs such as extract-transform-load (ETL), and database backends. Contributions: Serve as the technical lead and solution architect for a large software development program using Agile, DevSecOps and Human-Centered Design to build intuitive, simple systemsLeverage experience developing software solutions to architect systems using microservice development techniques, containers, domain-driven design patterns to design and build complex software systemsLeverage DevSecOps techniques to create resiliency, improve efficiency, reliability, and security of the missionSupport systems architecture development and integration, script development, integrated logistics support, configuration management, systems and mission engineering, and life cycle managementDemonstrate expertise in Cloud architectural constructs as well as Cloud-specific technologies and services using knowledge of Cloud APIs to establish and maintain Cloud environments programmatically is preferredAssist the program manager as the lead technical engineer for the program and engage with multiple functional groups (and other contractors) to comprehend challenges and prototype new ideas Qualifications: Must be US CitizenAbility to obtain a public trust clearanceBA or BS Degree in Computer Science, Statistics or relevant field required Excellent communication and teamwork skills Great attention to detail Organizational skills 8+ years of experience withsoftware development, software architecture, APIs, and microservices8+ years of experience with build, deployment, and release automation and orchestration8+ years of experience with supporting enterprise Cloud applications or infrastructure8+ years of experience with database engineering,and manipulatingrelational and NOSQLdatabases8+ years of experience with infrastructure as code environments, including any activities around automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, and monitoring and testing, such as CI/CD8+ years of experience with automating tests for determining quality, security, performance and usability of a system.5+ years of experience with Cloud Native services on AWSExperience with multiple back-end languages (eg Ruby on rails, Java, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (eg Angular, React, Node.js) Experience with automation tools, including CloudFormation, CloudFoundry, Jenkins, Terraform, or AnsibleExperience with containerization technologies such as OpenShift, EKS, Docker, and KubernetesExperience working in HCD, Agile and DevSecOps environments About steampunk: Steampunk is a Change Agent in the Federal contracting industry, bringing new thinking to clients in the Homeland, Federal Civilian, Health and DoD sectors.
