Senior Linux Engineer - Linux SMERosslyn, VAJob Summary:IntelliBridge is looking for a Senior Linux Engineer to support an innovative DISA program that provides critical IT services to the National Security Landscape, Intel Community, and civilian government. In this role, the Sr. Linux Engineer applies current technologies to the design, development, evaluation and integration of Linux-based computer information systems and networks to maintain system security.Responsibilities:Manage and administer RHEL systems by providing access to local or remote identity and authentication resources by using System Security Services Deamon (SSSD)Create and edit SELinux policy modulesPerform script writing using either Python, Ruby, or Bash to accomplish server activity automation, increase system efficiency, and minimize time spent on routine tasksConfigure and maintain IPA, which is an identity and authentication solution for LinuxPerform file manipulation using VI or VIM (ie, scripting text editor)Manage and monitor all installed systems and the Linux infrastructureDiagnose and troubleshoot Linux serversMaintain security, backup, and redundancy strategiesEvaluate, monitor, and enhance security architectures, the security of network data traffic, information security and privacyPerform operating system software updates, upgrades, and patchesPerform technical evaluations, analysis, and troubleshooting for all supported servers in response to system alerts or reports, client guidance, and/or incident tickets in response to activities, such as server failures, full systems outages, or degraded services Required Qualifications:Possess an active TS/SCI clearancePossesses 8570 IAT Level II (ie, CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE) certificationCloud certification in Amazon Web Services (AWS) or willing to be trained and attained within 120 days of hireProven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX /Linux based environmentsStrong understanding of RedHat 6 required and RedHat 7 preferredConfigure and maintain identity and authentication solution like IPAExperience with Patch systems using Yum, Spacewalk and/or Satellite serversUnderstanding of file and user permissions, and software installationsProblem management and troubleshooting experienceExperience with audit configurations to mitigate security requirementsScripting experience in one of the following languages required: Python, Bash, or Ruby Opportunity to Gain Experience In:Cloud certification in Amazon Web Services AWS (within 120 days of hire)Network security background with IP tables, static routing, TCP dump, TCP IP stackSystem Security Services Deamon (SSSD)File manipulation using VI or VIMAutomation solutions such as Puppet or AnsibleAbout IntelliBridge:We are the Prime contractor and we offer Medical/Dental Insurance (Vision also available), 401 (k) Retirement Plan with company match, and up to $5,000 per year in tuition/training/certification reimbursement.
