Medical Surveillance and Clinical Occupational Health AdvisorWashington, DC 22202, USAReq #3937Tuesday, August 3, 2021All Native Group is seeking a Medical Surveillance and Occupational Health Advisor to support the US State Department Bureau of Medicine in Washington DC.**Summary**The MEDSAFE program, established through the Bureau of Medical Services Division of Occupational Health and Wellness (OHW), is designed to identify, evaluate, and document site-specific occupational and environmental exposure risks to DOS employees by post, facility and/or operation. In addition, through this program OHW will establish an OEH monitoring system to document and track employee exposures during tenure (Individual Longitudinal Exposure Record ILER). Lastly, the MEDSAFE program is established to treat, monitor, and mitigate any long-term health consequences related to employment with Department of State. The Medical Surveillance and Clinical Occupational Health Advisor will serve in an advisory capacity as a health care expert to the MEDSAFE team for all environmental and occupational exposures, supporting clinical care advice, risk reduction, and mitigation strategies.**Duties/Responsibilities**Advises on clinical workforce safety and health issues for all employees.Provides technical guidance to all levels of management and field offices on complex safety and health issues.Assists with design and development of policy supporting the MEDSAFE Program.Develops safety and health standards where occupational safety and health standards do not exist or do not adequately cover hazardous conditions and operations.Collaborate with all programs within Department of State to promote occupational safety and health, engage management in incorporating safety in all aspects of operations.Support existing OH structures and programs.Developing safety and occupational health policies, regulations, practices, and procedures to eliminate or control potential hazards.Implementing programs designed to eliminate or minimize injury, property damage and productivity losses.Performing accident investigation and reporting, data analysis to determine frequency and severity rates, root cause analysis, trend identification and intervention effectiveness.Identifying hazardous or potentially hazardous conditions, developing measures to eliminate or control these conditions and effectively communicating the appropriate measures to resolve these problems.Performing risk assessments of hazardous processes, determining risk severity and making recommendations for risk mitigation.**Qualifications**The candidate shall possess the following minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities:Knows clinical regulations, principles, practices, procedures, etc. pertaining to effective occupationnal health and safety.Understands of Department of States organization's goals and values.Maintains excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.Can provide supervisory support for clinicians and occupational health employees in other Bureaus with occupation specific questions.Has ability to handle private, sensitive, confidential information appropriatelyMaintains organizational and delegation skills for dissemination of information.Strong working knowledge of risk management and previous experience working within organizations managing such risk.Skills in identifying employment exposures and developing processes to limit such exposure.Ability to train others in risk mitigation strategies and communication.Can prepare clear, accurate and concise reports, correspondence, and other written materials.Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.**Security Clearance**A Secret clearance is required top secret preferred_The_ **_ALL NATIVE GROUP_** _companies offer a rewarding career experience.
