In assuming this position, you will be a critical contributor to meeting NCI's mission: To deliver quality, innovative, cost-effective solutions and services that enable our customers to rapidly adapt to dynamic environments.RESPONSIBILITIESDesign and code software components, units, and modules for various applications that meet product specification and development schedulesWork with other developers and systems engineers to solve critical problems and identify efficiencies in implementing technical and functional requirements and tasksWork closely with product owner, stakeholders, business analysts, and team members to understand product specifics and to create quality codeContribute to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork within the organizations Agile project lifecycle and help shaping NCIs Geospatial Services OfferingExecute automated testing on both front-end and back-end systemsQualificationsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Applicants MUST be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain US Governments Public Trust security clearanceBachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent developing experience.3+ years experience analyzing, designing, developing and implementing Node.JS3+ experience analyzing, designing, developing and implementingJavaScript based full stack solutions (Node.JS, Vue.JS, Python, PHP, JQuery, Bootstrap)Experience working closely with product owners, stakeholders, and project managersStrong innovative and analytical ability with implementation experience as a results-oriented, collaborative self-starter who can contribute to a development teamMust have good written and oral communication skillsEXPERIENCE REQUIRED:II: 2 7 YearsPREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Experience working on software development contracts for the Federal government in an Agile DevSecOps environmentExperience working with cloud environments such as AWS EC2, EBS, S3 and RDSDatabase experience such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQLDevOps experience, to include version control, automated builds, automated testing, and continuous integration with tools such as Chef, Jenkins, Liquibase, GitTesting experience with Functional Testing, Security, Integration Testing, System Acceptance Testing, and User Acceptance Testing phasesHave an interest in working with geospatial data (SHP, KML, GeoJSON) as well as OGC standards (WMS, WFS)Have an interest in working with web mapping API (Leaflet, Mapbox, OpenLayers, Google Maps) and OpenGeo (GeoServer, PostGIS, QGIS)Prior knowledge of using GeoPandas and Pandas to manipulate geospatial data in Python.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:This position requires the ability to perform the below essential functions:Sitting for long periodsAmbulate throughout an officeAmbulate between several buildingsAbout NCIIt is the policy of NCI to provide equal opportunity in recruiting, hiring, training, and promoting individuals in all job categories without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, gender, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other protected class or category as may be defined by federal, state, or local laws or regulations.
