The incumbent is a senior analyst whose work enables the Bureau to account responsibly, accurately for all information technology assets andtheir application to the Departments vital consular and border security functions. Serves as subject matter expert on financial laws and regulations, andimplement financial policies.ResponsibilitiesExpertly advises management, office of the Comptroller in the planning, direction and control of the Bureau's Information Technology (IT) Capital Planning and Investment Control and works with different government offices Prepares and coordinates all IT aspects of the Bureaus Strategic Plan (BSP) for presentation and reporting both within the Department and to OMB in accordance with the Exhibit 300 requirementsPerforms special projects and studies, as assigned or self-initiated, that cover a wide variety of subject matter within the Division's previewInvestigates best-in class IT project management methodologies and how their use can help improve the Division's performance in support of it end-user requirements and the Department's compliance with federal laws and regulationsTravel RequiredOccasional travel - Some travel may be required (10% or less) Supervisory status No Promotion Potential 14 Requirements Conditions of EmploymentU.S. Citizenship is requiredMust be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearanceIncumbent will be subject to random drug testingAnnual Confidential Financial Disclosure required within first 30 daysStatement of Employment & Financial Interest required prior to appointment QualificationsApplicants must meet all the required qualification requirements, including education, and any selective placement factors described below by the closing date of this announcement.
