What does a typical day look like for the SharePoint Administrator? Deliver technical support in administering, updating, and maintaining IT systems to include the CIO and DCS G6 SharePoint environment. The CIO and DCS G6 IT systems shall, at a minimum: Support 700 users. Require CAC authentication for access (Army business systems). Ensure proper approvals and prioritization. Adhere to Standard Development Life cycle processes. Adhere to appropriate web policies. Work with customers to define SharePoint requirements. Providing reviews, analyses, assessments, design, and recommendations in support of the mission. Ensure that the content is accurate and up to date. Create comprehensive technical documentation. Answer queries via telephone and e-mail. Regularly maintain the site including the generation of statistical use reports, weekly upload of site changes, formal tracking of site change requests, link verification, solicitation of material for the site from CIO and DCS G6 contacts, and coordination of content archival. Update and maintain an organizational SharePoint. Assist the Government in establishing various links to other related SharePoint Sites, as required. Test and Monitor performance of the SharePoint site regularly. participate in SharePoint weekly/bi-weekly meetings and work with Strategic Initiative Group and Site Owners to develop, implement, and execute the changes which may require graphic development or content change. Regularly backup the SharePoint server and also provide the support to fully restore the SharePoint page from backup as needed. What qualifications do you look for? Possess a Bachelor's Degree in IT. 2+ years experience working in the IT web technology field. Possess SharePoint product knowledge and understanding of SharePoint 2013/2016 and Online features; understand the value of Microsoft SharePoint. Understand how to migrate and modernize applications from non-Microsoft platforms on-premises or Cloud to Microsoft Office 365. Able to research and apply best practices. Leverage migration tools and automation to the maximum extent possible. Ability to communicate effectively with business leadership, technical leadership, and technical engineers. Able to lead or collaboratively work in a team to assess and migrate SharePoint content (file share, content, or SharePoint environment) from the as-is to the to-be environment.
