Global Readiness Watch Stander Consultant Number of Positions : Six (6) Location : Washington, DC Clearance: Top Secret Salary : Commensurate with Education and Experiecne THIS POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD job overview The Global Readiness Unit (GRU) Watch Standers is responsible for ensuring accountability of all Government personnel serving overseas. Accountability is accomplished through support and monitoring of software and hardware tracking devices. GRU maintains and supports a database of information related to Personnel Recovery equipment and information. GRU staffs an Accountability Watch Desk, hosted in Center, which provides seven (7) days of coverage to support Government personnel overseas. The watch desk can assist with Phoenix installations, testing of equipment, and respond to alerts generate by monitored devices. In addition, GRU coordinates with Center, and other internal and external partners to ensure the best and most effective methods are employed to ensure the safety and security of Government personnel overseas. job responsibilities * Utilize technology to maintain awareness of the location of the Government personnel overseas * Provide mobile application instructions to Government personnel traveling overseas * Troubleshoot application, device problems, and escalate to other resources when needed * Establish and utilize a network of internal and external resources to answer questions and resolve issues * Support training of Government personnel preparing to travel overseas, including updating and presenting Power Point slides and demonstrate technology in Unit and at Training Center * Maintain awareness of tracking tool and technology development * Manage inventory of tracking tools, including receiving and shipping items job requirements * Must possess a Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution * Must have five (5) years of Program Management experience * Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing * Must have strong interpersonal and liaison skills * Must work well in a high-stress environment * Must have working knowledge of IT and computers * Must be available to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and other days when the US Government is closed (SIOC operates 24/7) * Must be able to generate graphic products for dissemination internally and to external partners * Must have experience preparing and delivering briefings * Must have relevant work experience * Preferred pervious military experience
