Overview:American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), a membership organization dedicated to the advancement of womens health care in Washington, DC, is currently seeking a Finance Adminstrative Assistant. The Finance Administrative Assistant is responsible for organizing our companys day-to-day accounting procedures and departmental functions. This position will be responsible for directing and coordinating fiscal activity. Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action. Build productive internal/external working relationships.Cover Letter Required.As a result of COVID-19, ACOG employees are working in a temporary remote capacity. This is temporary, and normal business hours and in-office duties will return to normal once deemed it is safe to return into the office. Employees are expected to return to ACOGs National office located at 409 12th, Southwest Washington DC, 20024.Responsibilities:Key Duties and Responsibilities.Assists in developing, implementing, and managing new and revised fiscal policies, procedures, and standards.Managing and tracking financial records and processes, to include contracts and month-end closing procedures.Assists with administrative task related to the departmental budget.Deposits all checks into appropriate bank accounts.Provides administrative support to department, to include, but not limited to (1) scheduling meetings (internal and external) (2) coordinating various board and committee meetings (3) Expense Reporting and (4) Coordinating travel.Assist in the preparation of various reports, presentations, correspondence, etc.Manages the Finance RFP Process.Maintains departmental files including department databases.Meets deliverables, complete work, projects, and assignments in an accurate and timely manner.Participate in technical projects, including accounting system and database upgrades.Provide the requisite support for audits performed by the organizations independent accounting firm and other regulatory bodies.Performs special projects.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications:Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience.Minimum of 2 -4 years of relevant experience.Excellent verbal and written communications skills.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other related software.Must be attentive to detail and able to perform tasks in a meticulous and thorough manner.Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and complete tasks with very limited supervision.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.About ACOG:Home to more than 58,000 womens health care professionals, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) is a membership organization leading advancements in womens health.
