*Academic Clinician, Hyperbaric and Emergency Medicine* The R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center and the Department of Emergency Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Medicine Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track at the Division of Hyperbaric and Dive Medicine. * Expertise is required in the specific areas of Emergency Medicine and Hyperbaric Medicine and their primary specialty. * Must have an MD or DO degree. Board certified or board eligible in hyperbaric and undersea medicine. * Teaching responsibilities may include teaching rotating residents and medical students. * Clinical responsibilities may include provision of clinical care to patients requiring hyperbaric oxygen therapy in a 24/7 multiplace chamber and monoplace chamber and/or patients in other care areas depending on primary board certification. Provide clinical care of hyperbaric and undersea medical patients in both our multiplace hyperbaric chamber and monoplace chambers at the Downtown and Midtown Campuses of UMMC. * The Midtown campus site is a wound care center with two monoplace chambers. Should be comfortable with outpatient wound care and understand coding, billing, and documentation. Must have effective communication and interpersonal skills. * The Division is composed of five board certified Emergency Medicine faculty. The Downtown Campus is a multi-place chamber capable of treating over 20 patients simultaneously and is a 24/7 operation treating both elective and emergency patients.
