Job Description POSITION SUMMARY: Position Title: Workday Financials ERP Implementation Project Manager Duration: Long Term Contract Location: Reston, VA 20190 / Remote Team: Corporate Systems. Profile: Solid ERP PM with strong Workday Financials implementation experience along with one other system under their belt. Client has implemented Workday HCM and in the evaluation stage of the financial module. They need a polished communicator with end to end business process and system vision and articulation thereof. Project Overview: The ERP Implementation Project Manager will be responsible for the project managing the evaluation and implementation of key Financial capabilities from the current legacy platforms to Workday. Having a solid finance and accounting business awareness, a key competency of the role will be the ability to develop a thorough understanding of our financial, business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements within the new system platform. The individual will then call upon his/her technical and functional knowledge of system implementation to provide input on application design, module configuration/setup, user acceptance testing, and end-user training. What you will do here: Actively participate in the evaluation of Workday to meet CB's Finance and Procurement needs. Defining the projects goals, objectives, risks, assumptions, coordinate with project resources to the project. Participate in implementation of the new system including configuration, building, testing, and user training, and go-live. Create and deliver project level documentation (ie, status reports, RAID logs, project plans, etc.) Maintain responsibility for performance, cost, scope, schedule, quality, and appropriate business measurements. Liaise cross-functionally with Accounting, Procurement, FP, Technology, and implementation partner to deliver system functionality. Familiarize the team with the terms of the project contract scope and proposal vs their requirements; Ensure Business acceptance for delivered services from the partner. Monitor project timelines and milestones using project management tools; Create and communicate project status reports to the project stakeholders. Oversee the completion and approval of project-level documentation. Track and assign project issues and risks, communicate status and escalate to internal stakeholders. Schedule and lead project meetings and presentations. Ensure quality and timeliness of partner services. Skills needed: Experience with implementing Workday financials and other ERP financial tools. Must have Cloud ERP system implementation experience with a number of Financial Modules such as, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Chart of accounts building, Budget and forecasting etc. Strong finance and accounting knowledge. Must have demonstrated project manager experience with details of size, length of time, and complexity. Excellent organizational skills to keep all parties on track with and accountable to timeline to complete system implementation. Agile / Scrum experience a plus. Ability to clearly describe end-to-end business processes and the key integration points, work cross-functionally across different business processes within an organization, and knowledge of challenges faced by implementation teams. Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
