This position requires collaborating with physicians, other medical providers, and patients by providing expert care and service for fertility treatments. We have an immediate opening for a full-time Endocrine Laboratory Technician in our busy Rockville, MD Endocrine Laboratory. The schedule is working Monday - Friday from 7:00 am until 4:00 pm.COVID-19 Vaccination: SGF requires all applicants to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 before commencing employment. New hires will be required to furnish proof of full vaccination prior to their start date. There may be alternative for an approved exemption based on bona fide medical or religious grounds. How You'll Contribute:We always do whatever it takes, even if it isnt specifically our job. In general, the Endocrine Lab Technician is responsible for: + Performs quality controls, calibration and instrument preventive maintenance checks at the required frequency and documents such actions.+ Checks and records daily temperature of refrigerators to ensure proper storage of media reagents.+ Monitors supply of reagents and other material to ensure adequate supply at all times and orders supplies when necessary.+ Take appropriate safety precautions for handling specimen and contaminated areas.+ Performs all clerical tasks associated with recording laboratory results in designated areas and filing.+ Provide a turnaround time to the physicians approximate two hour request from the time specimens are received.+ Reliability: It is an essential function of this position to report to work on time for your scheduled hours, ready for work.What You'll Bring:The skills and education we need are:+ Minimum of one year laboratory experience+ Experience in a chemistry analyzer strongly preferred+ Bachelors' degree in biology science or related field; MLT ASCP certification or equivalent+ Ability to troubleshoot assays and equipment More important than the best skills, however, is the right person.
