Senior Investor Reporting Associate - Commercial Real Estate

Capital One is active in all aspects of the commercial real estate arena with extensive experience in permanent and construction loans for a broad range of projects including multifamily housing, retail, office buildings, student housing, industrial and parking facilities. Our Multifamily Finance Team is a part of Capital One's broader Commercial Real Estate Business (CRE) and in addition to generating loans for our balance sheet, is one of the largest originators of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA loans.

This position will be part of the Agency Finance Loan Servicing team responsible for Investor Reporting to the Government Sponsored Enterprises; Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and Ginnie Mae. This involves timely, compliant, and accurate portfolio reporting and fund remittance as defined by the Enterprises in their respective Seller/Servicer standards and guides. The person in this role will be expected to work closely with internal and Agency partners to quickly resolve any inquiries regarding portfolio performance. The position requires a high-level critical thinker that can analyze and translate regulatory and industry changes into Capital One's internal processes and communicate feedback to varying levels of leadership. The ideal candidate will be able to execute tasks in a fast-paced environment with frequent shifts in focus. Responsibilities:
  • Monitor post-closing loan performance and report loan-level metrics to Ginnie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Fannie Mae
  • Remain current on all pending and proposed regulatory changes affecting compliance and attend assigned training covering regulatory and compliance issues.
  • Routinely review and document business processes related to servicing the Agency loan portfolio.
  • Maintain strong relationships with Capital One partners at Ginnie Mae, HUD, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and internal partners.
  • Provide monthly and quarterly loan activity reporting to the Agencies.
  • Balance various projects intended to integrate and build efficiencies into current processes.
  • Meet internal and external deadlines with minimal follow up from management.
  • Incorporate Capital One's values into daily tasks and assignments.
  • Communicate with commercial loan system vendors(s) as necessary regarding system issues, reports and modifications/enhancements.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Military Experience
  • Strong Organizational Skills
  • At least 2 years of experience with Excel
  • At least 2 years of commercial banking or multifamily experience


Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of experience with Multifamily Investor reporting or similar servicing responsibilities
  • At least 1 year of experience with SQL
