Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Resource Manager for the Resource Management Division, 7th Signal Command, 93d Signal Brigade and works under the general supervision of the Commander, Deputy to the Commander, and Command Operations Officer.
  • Perform full supervisory duties over Budget Analyst and Management Analysts subordinates.
  • Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates, set priorities and establishes schedules for work completion.
  • Develop and manage the planning, programming, and budgeting system (PPBS).
  • Provide management support to the Commander, Deputy to the Commander, Command Operations Officer, and Directors on status of funds, budget policy and impacts, and internal accounting.
  • Ensure internal accounting and administrative controls have been established to provide reasonable assurance that government resources are protected against fraud, waste, mismanagement or misappropriation.
  • Exercise management responsibility by managing the agency's manpower and management segment for all assigned military and civilian personnel programs and functions.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing manpower studies to determine organizational impact and develops recommendations or solutions; analyzing budget policies to determine efficiency and effectiveness; developing and issuing manpower resource guidance to subordinate managers; And supervising personnel involved in budget, program and resource management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.

  • THIS IS A FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Level 3 Certified position designated as such in accordance with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public Law 112-81, Subtitle F-Financial Management, section 1051, amending 10 United States Code, section 1599d. Incumbent of this position is required to comply with all Department of Defense and Department of the Army requirements of this certification program. This certification requirement is a condition of employment for this position. Failure to obtain this certification within the required time may subject the incumbent to adverse action.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
  • You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Direct deposit of pay is required.
