Summary

This position is located at Bureau of Engraving and Printing,ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR - MANUFACTURING. As a PROGRAM MANAGER (PRODUCTION PROGRAM MANAGER), you will serve as production Program Manager over the Note Packaging and Federal Reserve Vault, Office of Currency Manufacturing. These duties include planning and directing work operations and projects within the Note Packaging and Federal Reserve Vault.

Responsibilities

As a PROGRAM MANAGER (PRODUCTION PROGRAM MANAGER), you will:
  • Oversee production activities and personnel as assigned, as well as projects on accountability and improvement of efficiency of Note Packaging and Federal Reserve Vault
  • Maintain technical and administrative control by providing oversight on all aspects of the effective and efficient operation of the Note Packaging and Federal Reserve Vault, Office of Currency Manufacturing
  • Ensure that supervisors and all personnel through their subordinate supervisors are completing mandatory trainings on time, time and attendance requirements are monitored and performed accurately, performance management requirements are completed on time
  • Be responsible for maintaining positive communication with the Federal Reserve Board and assuring that shipments to the appropriate locations are scheduled and ensuring that timely completion of all related reports and documentation are completed.
  • Develop and analyze special statistical tabulations and related material for a highly sophisticated security packaging and shipping operations for US Currency.

    You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

    For the GS-13, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes having experience in: Production, planning, and scheduling, AND Supervising/leading teams or projects, AND Managing inventory flow and ensuring the safety and accuracy of inventory.
    In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-13, you must have been at the GS-12 level for 52 weeks.

    • The facility typically shuts down annually between Christmas and New Year's Day. As such, all BEP employees must take leave for work days during the shutdown period.
