With a goal of becoming the most trusted name in premium proteins, we create products for consumers and for retail and foodservice customers around the globe, while changing the way animals are raised for food.SummaryThe Foodservice Marketing Manager will support the Sales & Marketing duties of the Turkey business unit.Principal and Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesProduct Marketing: Assists the supervisor in developing and implementing the annual Marketing Plan for the turkey product category. Under the direction of the supervisor the position will perform Product Line Management including new product development actions with R&D, Product line deletions as required, packaging upgrades, financial management and reporting to Marketing and Division leadership, cost reduction actions with the Plant Management, specification review and quality management actions including responding to quality issues when they arise to both sales and customers as needed. Price recommendations and price list management. P&L impact actions for cost and price, packaging and ingredients as well as volume and overhead components will be a part of this position responsibility. Competitive intelligence work identifying what is happening in the category and what our competitive response may be as well as developing competitive database for use in sales. New Product introduction support development including Point of Sale, Food Show Materials, Web Site and other content deemed important for successful communication. Advertising development. Strategy development for communication of new products, product offering and new areas for profitable growth.Linkage with Retail Marketing Connect with peers on the Retail Marketing Team to develop similar products that can be utilized in both sales channels. This could include repurposing existing items with different or new packaging to solve the business need.Brand Marketing: Supports Brand building efforts and participate in the creation of the strategies to enhance the Company or Harvestland brands in Food service. Participates in key brand equity discussion and aid in supporting the structure for legal approvals of Point of Sale, Brand management per the set criteria from the Chief Marketing Officer, incorporate sustainability and other features to create trust in the Company brand and Company for various Food service constituency groups (Brokers, Distributors, Operators) and in various platforms including Point of Sale, Food Show materials, training materials, Web site content. Assists in Brand developing ideas for the future. Innovations: Participate in the Innovation Team actions and assist in the creation of new innovative ideas for development including product categories, products, co-pack arrangements, packaging, processes, communication techniques under the supervision of the Director and VP of Marketing.General Marketing: Assists in developing new ways of doing business in all aspects of marketing to create an environment of innovation thought leadership for Foodservice. This includes things as basic as how to enhance communication to creating Customer Relationship Management and Marketing processes to offer new methods of innovative communication to the trade. Public relations, industry event participation and training including marketing development ideas for the Company and agency staff. Identifies ways to enhance the agency performance and in general how to do things better, faster and at lower costs.Education and Experience RequirementsBachelors degree in Business Administration or Marketing or equivalent work experience plus 3-5years related work experience including 0-3 years of Branded Consumer Product Marketing experience. Must have strong analytical skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, etc. plus the ability to understand and use syndicated and shipment data.
