As an internal strategy wing of Workday's sales operations team, Value Managers work with prospects and customers throughout their full lifecycle on a wide variety of projects and analysis.We focus on relationships, analytics, and business strategy in the public sector. We have the privilege of advising leaders at a state government level to the analysts behind the scenes at a small municipality. We are industry specialists, workmates, teammates, and coaches. We are Value Managers.If this sounds like a fit, then please consider a career as a Value Manager on the Government team at Workday.About the RoleAs a Value Manager, you will: Develop relationships as a consultant and business advisor to a team of Workday Account Executives. We work alongside them and the industry's best pre-sales teams to engage, excite, and educate Workday prospects on their transformation Command a strong understanding of Workday's technology to deliver compelling and relevant messages around Workday's unique and differentiated value Drive engaging discovery interviews with HR, Finance, and IT partners to help uncover business challenges and to understand business processes within their organizations Develop and deliver compelling, highly narrative and engaging business case materials and presentations to senior, including C-level, board-level and business audiences Conduct consultative quantitative analysis, value modeling, and benchmarking levering industry data sets Drive the strategic vision Value Management Industries team by crafting and sharing new standard methodologies, innovation frameworks, and thought leadershipAbout YouBasic Qualifications Experience working directly with or for Public Sector, Government or Federal entities 5-10 years of relevant work experience, ideally in consulting, finance, business services, corporate strategy, project management, pre-sales, value engineering, sales, or other applicable roles Bachelor's degree required; MBA, MS or MPA encouragedOther Qualifications Demonstrated history of providing thought leadership content and consulting in the public sector Excellent collaboration, executive presence, and listening skills Deeply curious about the education and/or government business, highly motivated to have an impact on prospects/customers, and broadly interested in maximizing technology to solve business problems Understanding of enterprise software and ability to think strategically about inspiring change through technology initiatives Demonstrated ability in enterprise software, budgeting, human capital, finance and/or corporate planning is highly desired Travel up to 50%San Francisco Fair Chance OrdinancePursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, Workday will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.Workday is an Equal Opportunity Employer including individuals with disabilities and protected veterans.
