This Position is Contingent Upon Contract Award Citizenship: Must be a US Citizen Clearance Required: None to Start JobSummaryThe Defense Human Resources Activity (DHRA), Defense Suicide Prevention Office (DSPO) requires non-personal services contractor support with subject matter expertise, program management support, meeting and conference planning and execution, strategy and policy, congressional and legislative affairs, communications and outreach, and training and education. DSPO is the focal point for all suicide prevention strategic development, implementation, centralization, standardization, communication, and evaluation of Department of Defense (DoD) suicide programs, policies, research, and data surveillance activities. DSPO works collaboratively with internal and external partners from the Military Services, Federal agencies, medical professionals, military service organizations, and other non-profits to combat suicide in the military community and provide holistic support to Service members and their families. DSPO's mission is to advance holistic, data-driven suicide prevention in our military community through policy, oversight, and engagement to positively impact individual beliefs and behaviors, as well as to instill systemic culture change.Roles andResponsibilitiesOn-site Program Manager responsible for the overall management of the contract performance in support of the DSPO mission, vision, strategic plan, and priorities for suicide prevention policy oversight and compliance and responsibilities outlined DoDI 6490.16 and DoDI 6400.09Responsible for formulating and enforcing work standards, making work assignments, create and maintain workload management tool for COR oversight, reviewing work discrepancies, supervising contractor personnel, and communicating policies, purposes, and goals of the organization to subordinates. Monitor suicide prevention related efforts within the Department by conducting benchmarking and best practices research and provided updated findings quarterly Develop and maintain a process to help DSPO track its suicide prevention activities, including working groups it participates in, in support of strategic plans Gather and consolidate input from government staff to develop draft suicide prevention related strategic plans, plans of action and milestones, and other planning and implementation processesDevelop communication materials, including messaging and graphics for DSPO presentations, infographics, and reportsMaintain work force flexibility needed to address and meet unanticipated requirements that emerge through the suicide prevention community, Congress, the White House, Secretary of Defense, and Service SecretariesAssist in the development, integration, and coordination of annual reports that require DSPO's contributionsProvide support for the assessment and monitoring of the Military Services suicide prevention training. This includes developing a tracking mechanism and providing a framework for assessmentAssist in the development, integration, coordination, and publication of the Annual Suicide Report (ASR) on an annual basis. This includes providing technical writing, editing, formatting, and assisting in coordination with DSPO stakeholders Education, Experience and Skills Bachelor's of Arts or Science in EducationMust have 5-10 years of training and education experienceProject Management Professional (PMP) desiredMust posses 5 years experience in prevention field (eg suicide prevention, interpersonal violence, community health, etc.)PhysicalRequirements/ Travel Normal Environment 20% travel within NCRAzimuth Overview Azimuth is an award-winning Woman Owned Small Business specializing in providing research and development and professional services support to the federal government.
