Brand Strategist Flock DC Salary Range: $65k-$75k Position Objective The Brand Strategist implements the strategy and directives as set forth by the Growth Team for the Flock family of companies. The Brand Strategist will produce and share daily posts across all appropriate social media channels that are aligned with the vision, values and needs of Flock. Additionally, the Brand Strategist will be responsible for posting and managing advertisements and marketing campaigns. This includes direct SM advertising but also external media ad buys. This position will monitor and track engagement of these posts and create weekly reports highlighting successes and missed opportunities with a recommendation for any changes needed. The Brand Strategist assists in the public facing voice of all Flock brands by posting, managing, and analyzing data for all SM platforms. With the contacts that they make and the network they grow, this position will provide and manage networking, award, sponsorship and/or other business development opportunities for the BD team to review and attend. Additionally, the Brand Strategist ensures that web related content is accurate and up to date. This position will manage the Flock Talk page daily, with content that aligns and influences our SM agenda. Additionally, this position will manage day-to-day edits and minor but time-sensitive changes across all Flock websites. As such, the following will be core responsibilities: Flock Social Media Management Schedules and implements postings across our various social media platforms, including (but not limited to): Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, the Flockletter, and websites. Develop digital content for all platforms. Follow the SOPs of the social media strategy to create cohesive Flock posts, aligned with the strategy and campaigns as identified by the Director of Business Development and VP of Growth. Create new design templates and edit existing ones for social media postings based on specific event or announcement needs. Ensure all content is updated on relevant website hub Flock Advertising Management Implement and monitor advertising campaigns both on social media and on other platforms Track, analyze and present ad data (engagement, CTR, overall success, etc) Flock Reputation Management Day-to-day management of reputation platforms (yelp, google, facebook): Tracking any new positive Yelp reviews for team interaction Tracking any new negative Yelp reviews and triaging immediate response from the appropriate party Monthly research into tools/strategy around managing these platforms (ie paid advertising to reduce the number of filtered reviews, etc). Track reputation score on a weekly basis and consolidate into monthly reporting for long term record tracking. Provide Nest and Roost partners with language and reminders for soliciting reviews on an ongoing basis. Manage any financial compensation due to positive reviews for the teams. Event and Nomination Assistance Track and calendar nomination opportunities for business or personal awards (ie INC Best Places to Work, WBJ Corporate Philanthropy, etc). Create and manage a monday.com board that provides accurate and updated information for potential nominations including due dates, required documents/info, and assign tasks as needed. Create and manage draft and final application submissions for all applications in an organized and accessible format (ie google drive) to facilitate and recreate future essay requirements. Work with Executive Admins to track, manage, and store biographies, important nomination info, and headshots for FLT level. Track and calendar networking opportunities for business development both locally and nationally. Track and calendar sponsorship opportunities that would enhance business development. Day-to-Day Website Oversight Ongoing training with our Web Manager for basic coding skills and directions for website management specific to each of the Flock brand websites. Daily management of the Flock Talk page including a minimum of 1x weekly blog posts, 1x monthly updates from committees, as needed calendar/event edits and announcements as they arise. Support for all Flock websites around urgent edits or announcements, including but not limited to: Office closures Edits to spelling or grammar mistakes Major layout or photo sizing issues Resources + Team This position will manage our social media accounts on a day-to-day basis and offer basic ongoing website upkeep. This person will report to the VP Growth to manage our public facing voice and external presence. Skills/Experience Required Experience in managing a variety of social media accounts including, but not limited to: Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn (business accounts preferred) Extremely detail-oriented Superior organization and time management skills Ability to work independently and is self-directive Ability to communicate clearly and accurately to a range of audiences, both verbally and in writing Strong creative thinking + creative writing skills particularly in relation to new and improved social media campaigns leading to an increase in brand engagement Willingness to jump into new tasks and help out other team members Strong interpersonal skills Proficiency in MS Office including Word and Excel Experience writing/maintaining personal or business blogs (preferred, but not required) Proficiency in Canva (preferred, not required) Knowledge of Apple computers We will accept applications until the candidate is seated.
