The individual we hire will need to be hands on, and have the leadership ability and talent to develop the function to meet growing business needs as we scale. We are looking for a true strategic partner and valuable voice to represent accounting and accounting ops as we enter an exciting high growth phase with our AI driven AdvantageAI product.Successful candidates will be responsible for:Own and direct the company's accounting operations, including payroll, AP, and AR;Improve processes around billing and revenue recognition with automation and exploration of tech-enabled tools;Lead monthly, quarterly, and year end close process and financial statement review, contributing insights and recommendations as part of variance analysis;Monitor term loan interest schedule, financial covenants, and reporting requirements;Manage the external financial audit;Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings;Create and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and controls;Assist in treasury operations and management of cash flow;Provide insights and guidance on annual P&L budgets and forecasting of revenue from an accounting perspective.Must-have qualifications:Qualified CPA preferred;Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field;Experience in preparing US GAAP audited financial statements;Minimum 7 years of management accounting experience at increasing levels of seniority;Proficiency with accounting softwares and leading implementation of new solutions;Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel;Ability to partner and forge business relationships with other senior leadership and department heads;Attention to detail and discipline in use of checks and high level validations;Prioritizes the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting.Nice-to-have qualifications:Professional services/agency focus preferred;Experience with contract accounting under ASC 606 preferred.If you feel you can do the job and are excited about this opportunity but are not sure if you meet all the qualifications, consider applying anyway.
