Adjunct Faculty, Global and Community HealthThe George Mason University Department of Global and Community Health, in the College of Health and Human Services, invites applications for Adjunct Faculty to teach graduate and undergraduate courses in public health disciplines including: biostatistics, epidemiology, health behavior theory, health ethics, health promotion and health education, leadership and advocacy, social and behavioral sciences for Fall 2021 and Spring 2022. Opportunities exist for fully on-line, hybrid and in-person teaching. George Mason University has a strong institutional commitment to the achievement of excellence and diversity among its faculty and staff, and strongly encourages candidates to apply who will enrich Mason's academic and culturally inclusive environment.Responsibilities:In addition to teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses, responsibilities include preparing course materials, grading, student engagement, and holding regularly scheduled office hours.Required Qualifications:M.P.H. or M.S. in a related discipline, with relevant work experience;Terminal degree (PhD, Doctor of Public Health or MD) is required in order to teach graduate level courses;Ability to work well with colleagues and respond promptly to students is essential.Preferred Qualifications:Ph.D. or Doctor of Public Health (DrPH);Prior teaching experience is strongly preferred;Flexible schedule with ability to teach face to face during the day;Ability to teach using a variety of modalities (face to face, hybrid, on-line).
