Summary

This position is located within Mid-Atlantic Region, Support Services Program, MWR Department, Commercial Activities Division, Golf Branch. The purpose of this position is to provide and maintain adequate supply of riding carts and range balls during normal operating hours and to clean and return golf carts to storage area, restock adequate supply of range balls for the next days use.

Responsibilities

Performs most or all of the following duties, which are typical, but not all inclusive: Ensures adequate supplies for riding carts are on hand at the clubhouse area at all times. Restocks range bag/basket supply at the end of day, ensures the clubhouse has an adequate supply of range balls at all times. Returns and cleans all riding carts to the cart storage area before end of day. Assists in maintaining clean and neat appearance of the clubhouse area, driving range and cart storage facility at all times. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Must have the ability to operate a gas powered golf cart and range ball picker. Requires the ability to follow oral and/or written instructions.

Physical activities include but are not limited to: standing, walking, turning, twisting, stooping, bending, reaching, lifting, climbing, balancing, carrying, pushing, pulling, hearing, seeing, and smelling. Lifting of up to 45 pounds unassisted is required.

Work is primarily executed outside. The employee will be subjected to all weather extremes; hot and cold, rain, snow, wet and humid conditions; wind and other weather phenomena. The employee will work in direct sun frequently.

Although hazards are minimized through the use of Personal Protective Equipment, the employee will be subjected to many conditions inherent to a golf course.

This position is subject to an irregular tour, which may include weekends, holidays and seasonal work.

Salary is dependent on experience and/or education.

Some positions have special requirements. Selectee may be required to complete a one (1) year probationary period. Participation in Direct Deposit/Electronic Fund Transfer within the first 30 days of employment is required. We utilize E-Verify to confirm selectee's eligibility to work in the United States. Salary is dependent on experience and/or education.
