Responsibilities

If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team to provide a variety of administrative support services for the United States Attorney's Office. Typical work assignments may include some of the following responsibilities:

1. Perform a variety of administrative duties in one or more of the following programs: Budget, Contracting and/or Program Analysis. Examples include - entering information into the financial management system and tracking information, administering a variety of routine contract and procurement activities, and analyzing support services processes and procedures.

Provide programmatic services in one or more of the following areas:

Facilities Management - Coordinate a variety of facility maintenance and/or repair activities for USAO workspaces. Maintain records on completed maintenance and repairs for future reference. Respond to emergency service order requests.

Records Management - Promote and coordinate effective records management programs with USAO managers and employees by providing guidance and training. Ensure compliance with Department of Justice and EOUSA policies.

Security - Ensure that personnel, records, and the facility is safe and in full conformance with security requirements. Conduct regular inspections, analyze results, and develop a master security plan.

Space Management - Project and analyze space needs based on proposed initiatives, staff changes, and technology improvements. Help to design changes to office layouts, schedule alterations and repairs, oversees building renovations, and recommends relocation of personnel to new space.

3. Coordinate or assist with USAO special events, press conferences, meetings, or community outreach activities.

Qualifications

To qualify for the GS-9 level, you must meet at least ONE of the following conditions, as defined below:

Specialized Experience, Education, OR a combination of Education and Experience.

Specialized Experience: One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-7 level. Specialized experience is defined as experience monitoring or controlling the budget; assisting in an acquisition and contract management program; analyzing technology in relation to support service needs; providing administrative support services in areas such as contracting, space management, purchasing supplies and equipment, records maintenance,

Education: One of the following types of education in a related field (e.g., Business, Accounting, etc.): a Master's or equivalent graduate degree (such as an LL.B.); OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree. Education at the graduate level must be in an accredited college or university and must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position.

Combining Education and Experience: Combinations of successfully completed graduate education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements. In order to qualify based on a combination, graduate education must be in excess of 1 full year.

Interagency Career Transition Assistance Plan (ICTAP) The ICTAP provides eligible displaced Federal competitive service employees with selection priority over other candidates for competitive service vacancies.
