Alluvion, a Vaco Company, is hiring for an HR Manager, Labor Relations in Reston, VA. This is a direct hire role paying $120K + bonus. SUMMARYThe Company is currently seeking a Human Resources Manager, Labor Relations with human resources business partnering, administration, and labor relations experience. This position will be responsible for several union facilities in the Northern Virginia/Maryland area and will be expected to travel to several locations. This position will implement labor relations programs to oversee compliance with the union's negotiated contracts.The Human Resources Manager, Labor Relations will develop and sponsor initiatives to drive employee engagement and enablement, maintain positive employee relations and proactive communication, manage performance and talent development cycles, interpret policy and manage internal investigations, administer and advise on compensation decisions and ensure compliance with Company values, HR policies and procedures.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES| Act as a strategic HR business partner to multiple union manufacturing sites.| Regularly interact with leaders, managers, supervisors, and employees in the manufacturing environment while onsite.| Oversee the management of regional labor relations for the business, managing grievance procedures and advising teams to ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements.| Coach and collaborate with manufacturing and union leadership to resolve business challenges by facilitating conflict resolution during the grievance process.| Conduct employee relations investigations and liaise with Sr. Director, Human Resources and Legal team to determine most appropriate resolution.| Develops and executes strategies around talent development and retention and the management of multiple HR related objectives simultaneously.| Participation in a collective bargaining process and the interpretation and application of contracts and agreements.| Develop and implement innovative HR solutions, best practices, and process improvement.| Manage talent assessment, coaching and development, performance management, proactive workforce planning and succession planning processes for designated client groups. Facilitate succession planning sessions and performance calibration sessions for client groups.| Attract, develop, and drive retention of employees. Leverage talent acquisition support and processes to recruit internally and to develop targeted external recruiting efforts for critical competencies. Develop client and organizational specific retention strategies, development efforts, and knowledge transfer processes as needed. Lead and champion compliance with workforce diversity and Affirmative Action plan compliance requirements.| Drive a progressive, proactive, positive employee relations culture and increase levels of engagement, enablement, and retention.| Manage compensation plan for the group(s) in conjunction with corporate compensation philosophy and groups functional pay norms. Oversee position-planning system to include accurate job descriptions, job analysis, accountabilities, and task analysis. Manage wage and salary administration, including base salary, incentive plans and other non-cash programs based on Company guidelines.| Coach, influence and provide guidance to business leaders to determine optimal organizational design, development, and performance management plans, to manage employee relations issues and other policy issues while ensuring compliance with relevant and current HR legal standards including FMLA, ADA, and EEO.| Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local regulations and company standards.| Drive high performance culture by providing guidance, direction, and leadership on all human resource activities.| Partner with human resources and business to assess, develop, and facilitate training sessions on HR topics as needed.| Prepare and maintain various HR metrics.| Analyze human resources data and trends to provide input to the business strategy and to prevent the recurrence of known issues.| Other duties as assigned.
