Alluvion, a Vaco company, is hiring for a temporary Benefits Specialist in Reston, VA. This is an indefinite contract paying $25/hour.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Day-to-day support of all benefits, including 401(k), medical, dental, vision, life insurance, wellness, COBRA, leave administration, Deferred Compensation, ACA compliance, Short Term Disability, Long Term Disability, and Life Insurance plans. Reconcile payroll deductions and invoices Handle employee benefit matters and questions Support vendor interfaces and maintaining compliance with all relevant compliance regulations Participate in salary and benefit surveys, support compensation and benefit renewal planning processes Support internal and external audits regarding benefits and compensation programs. Assists with various research projects and/or special projects. Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.QUALIFICATIONS Knowledge of UltiPro HRIS system knowledge preferred. Excellent communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize workload and self-manage projects, handle multiple tasks, and meet strict deadlines. Thrives in a high-pressure, ambiguous environment and able to manage multiple simultaneous priorities. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Strong attention to detail and discretion. Strong internal and external customer service focus. Maintain confidentiality at all times. Work independently and proactively with minimal supervision. High level of accountability and ownership of responsibilities.
