BUSINESS RELATIONSHIPS: The Regional Business Manager (RBM) reports into the Strategy and Marketing Group of NRTC. RBMs primarily provide sales and client relationship management for the Smart Grid and Broadband and Managed Services Business Units with specific focus on Electric Cooperatives and named Telecommunications accounts. RBMs also work closely with NRTC technology solutions sales support staff and interface with electric and broadband industry vendors, cooperative affiliates, NRTC contractors, and internal marketing and business unit staff members.JOB SUMMARY: The Regional Business Manager serves as NRTC's primary relationship managers with members within an assigned region on sales opportunities pertaining to all NRTC products and services. The Regional Business Manager's primary focus is to meet or exceed specific goals within territory through effective, consultative and transactional sales and relationship management skills.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Meet or exceed all defined product and/or subscriber goals Develop and maintain effective relationships within assigned region as well as NRTC staff to maximize ability to meet business goals Gain an in-depth knowledge of all NRTC products that pertain to the target market Assist members in the development of marketing and sales programs so that NRTC's and member product goals are attained Establish an efficient regional home office and operate that office effectively through management of budget allocations and reports Maintain effective daily reporting of business activity in Netsuite, and related sales management software Lead strategic account efforts for quoting and help develop and contribute to request for proposals; oversee follow up on all member activities with NRTC Support and enforce company policies and procedures Provide a regular (as least weekly) team update to the CSMO as requested Lead team meetings and organizational functions as requested by the CSMO Assist in analyzing team and individual performance strengths and weaknesses Other related duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelors' degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related degree, or equivalent, and three (3) years of successful quota driven results in the sales of complex electric/telecommunications products and services to businesses. One (1) year of experience with, and understanding of the rural electric cooperative market place, business structures and marketing issues preferred including both smart grid SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Exhibit dynamic, self-motivated and high energy characteristics that drive results Exhibit proven sales results in the highly competitive marketplace Exhibit the ability to learn complex products thoroughly and quickly Exhibit the ability to sell in a consultative as well as a transaction environment Excellent ability to successfully work independently Excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledge and ability to use various software programs including Excel, Word, e-mail and PowerPoint Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time Proven ability to handle defined periods of extreme stress level Ability to understand verbal/written instructions Basic math skills Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and set up tradeshow materials, banner-ups, etc #zrPowered by JazzHR4CsLBhQh30
