Description:Georgetown Hill Early School is a non-profit school serving Maryland families' preschool, elementary, and child care needs since 1980 . This may include full or part time opportunities in our Infants program or Toddlers program!Federal campuses - Our Greenwood, NRC, and USDA-APHIS campuses are located in federal buildings and require a clearance process for employment that typically takes a month! To thank you for your patience in applying to these campuses, we are extending a $1,000 signing bonus to all new hire Lead Teachers effective May - August 2021!Applicants should be able to start work August 23, 2021 (or sooner)!The essential functions of this job include but are not limited to:Supervision of preschool children to assure the health, welfare, and safety of all studentsProviding for the educational needs and interests of preschool children using a creative and age-appropriate curriculumSupporting the physical, socio-emotional, and developmental needs of each child in the classroomRegular, predictable attendance and punctualityAdhering to all health and safety standards and protocols as part of COVID preventionDemonstrating effective leadership among the classroom teamDemonstrating effective communication skills and positive interpersonal relations with children, families, colleagues, and communityManaging the preschool classroom in a way that fosters a consistent, safe, and positive learning environment for all students and staffFor a complete job description, feel free to reach out!In general, you would be a great fit at Georgetown Hill if you are:Nurturing. Requirements:The requirements for this position are as follows:Applicants should hold a bachelor's degree or associate's degree and CDA certification.Proficient technological skills to utilize various productivity tools (ie Outlook email, Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS, internet use, timekeeping systems, Kid Reports, ProCare Engage)Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and teaching methodsPossess strong knowledge of MSDE/NAEYC regulationsPossess a personal demeanor that is warm, friendly, and cool-temperedExtremely reliable in attendance and punctualityMust be highly organized and able to prioritize and multi-taskMust be team-oriented and willing to work with othersPossess excellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar and reading skillsPI145298506
