This is a critical role at AdaptHealth. We have a relentless commitment to using innovation to transform the durable medical equipment industry, break the status quo and provide the best quality care.Summary:Medical Equipment Technicians (Delivery and Set-up Technicians) are responsible for ensuring safe delivery, providing setup, and education in usage of home medical equipment for our customers. Setup is done in their home or long-term care setting.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain working knowledge of current HME products and services offered by the company and all applicable governmental regulationsComply with all applicable company policies and proceduresManage territory to reach service goals and deliver equipment including oxygen as required in accordance with industry standardsEducate customers in proper use and care of respiratory and HME equipment in a home settingComplete written patient visit reports following setup and follow-up visits as requiredAssist with customer equipment problems under emergency conditionsDevelop basic reimbursement knowledge and completely document all information necessary to ensure reimbursement for all appropriate equipment, products and servicesAssist with implementation of quality improvement program to meet company policiesMaintain home oxygen systems through regularly scheduled visits to customersAssume on-call responsibilities during non-business hours in accordance with company policyPerform routine preventative maintenance and simple repairs on equipment as required in accordance with company policiesReport equipment hazards and/or product incidents as required in accordance with company policies and proceduresParticipate in educational programs as requiredPerform other related duties as assignedRequirements:Ability to lift up to 75 poundsCustomer-focusedProfessionalismReliableIndustriousEducation/Training:High School Diploma or equivalentExperience:Prior Durable Medical Equipment field experience preferredPrior home delivery experienceBenefitsMedicalDentalVisionPaid Time Off401k#INDHPAdaptHealth is an equal opportunity employer and does not unlawfully discriminate against employees or applicants for employment on the basis of an individual's race, color, religion, creed, sex, national origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity, genetic information, or any other status protected by applicable law.
