For more information, please visit: .ResponsibilitiesWe are currently seeking an experienced BI Developer that possesses intellectual curiosity and passion for solving problems with an eye for optimization and efficiency. The BI Developer will analyze, transform, and interpret data and develop reports, visualizations, and dashboards across multiple BI platforms. This role requires owning the dashboard development experience throughout the full dashboard lifecycle: from gathering report requirements and meeting with stakeholders, to developing the data model and specific dashboards, to ongoing tuning and enhancements as required.This position requires the individual to provide planning, estimation, scheduling, prioritization and coordination of technical activities related to dashboard development with multiple stakeholders. Accountable to business and technology management for end-to-end application scoping, planning, development and delivery that meets and exceeds quality standards. Our professionals help our clients to harness their data to transform their business processes, improve internal controls, improve efficiency of operations, increase transparency and performance management, and to comply with Federal laws and regulations. The nature of our projects is extremely fluid and requires self-motivated individuals that are willing to develop solutions on their own or in a team of highly skilled professionals. Our professionals need to work across multiple solution systems for the business with existing client systems.QualificationsThe contractual requirements for this position requires the candidate to be a Citizen or Green Card holder.The successful candidate will have proven experience supporting development and maintenance of business intelligence reports utilizing a variety of platforms. Experience performing similar development and maintenance of reports/dashboards in federal agencies. The candidate will provide oversight and be accountable for quality of services and deliverables.5+ years of experience working directly with BI reporting applicationsPerform data model design and implementationData experience (data architecture, data modeling, data engineering).3+ years' experience with writing and debugging SQL queriesHave a working understanding of visual analytics best practices, development processes, and knowledge of typical BI & analytics tools and technologies (Power BI, Qlik Sense, Tableau, etc.).Ability to integrate reporting components from multiple data sourcesEffective analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work concurrently across multiple technologies (eg Power BI and Qlik Sense) depending upon specific needs of the clientAbility to manage multiple parallel assignments and meet specified milestonesExperience in optimizing dashboards with focus on usability, performance, flexibility and standardizationExperience in end-to-end implementation of BI projects for developing a portfolio of scorecards, KPIs, reports & dashboardsProvides technical expertise in the diagnosis and resolution of an issue, including the determination and provision of workaround solution or escalation to owners.Ensures delivered solutions meets technical and functional/non-functional performance requirements within.Manage day to day technical challenges and communicate to project manager any risks or issues associated with the development activitiesClearly communicate Expectations, Roles and Responsibilities to team members and hold them accountable to meet the expectationsClient-facing experience in a consulting environment among mid-level to senior leadershipDegree:Holds a four-year degree from an accredited college or university.Fantastic communicator at all levels.Passionate about data visualization.Ability to perform training and mentorship.Qlik View or Qlik Sense certificationMicrosoft PowerBI certificationExperience working in federal environmentExperience utilizing an issue tracking software such as JIRAAdditional RequirementsThe successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as described.DisclaimerAbout GuidehouseGuidehouse is an Equal Employment Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
