This position reports to the Corporate Director, People Analytics, and will have dotted line reporting responsibility to the Defense Systems HR Vice President. This position will sit in McLean, Virginia.People Analytics is a team of data scientists, behavioral research scientists, insight analysts, competitive intelligence analysts, and U/X experts who use science to inform our most important people decisions and to enable an industry leading employee experience. As a member of the People Analytics team supporting the Defense Systems Sector, you will be responsible for leveraging the entire range of our analytics capabilities to refine and enable the Defense Systems Sector people strategy.As Manager of People Analytics for Defense Systems, you will be entrepreneurial, creative, and ethically conscious as we work to advance our mission to develop and deliver the insight needed to inform our investments in our employees and design optimal employee experiences. You will be a critical and strategic thinker who helps advance the people strategy of Northrop Grumman Defense Systems by expanding our analytic capability and accelerating HR's transformation to more effectively serve our employees as customers and consumers. You will collaborate across the sector and business to uncover data-driven insights to solve business challenges across the talent lifecycle and enable transformational change. You will drive the delivery of data-driven and actionable insights and help our business make informed decisions across multiple areas of human capital issues including, but not limited to: attrition, DE&I, learning, mobility, and talent acquisition. Additionally, you will engage with the business in the development of their people analytics vision through analytics opportunity identification, roadmap development, and supporting roadmap execution.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Serving on the Defense Systems Sector HR leadership team to optimize the use of analytics in driving the sector people strategyServing on the People Analytics leadership team to bring sector specific business needs forward to inform our enterprise people analytics strategyLeading the Sector team of insight analystsIdentifying strategic analyses and research needed to enable the Defense Systems Sector talent acquisition, development, and retention goalsIntegrating, tailoring, and applying corporate analytics capability for the benefit of the sectorIdentifying, articulating, and defending team prioritiesCommunicating results to an executive audience to effectively tell the data storyBasic Qualifications:Must have one of the following:Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experienceMaster's degree with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experiencePhD with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experienceDemonstrated experience using analytics to inform business decisionsUnderstanding of HR domain areas, such as recruiting, DE&I, compensation, performance, learning and development, and HR metricsAbility to extract and manipulate data from databases (eg, SQL)Ability to use statistical programming languages (eg, R, Python)Proficient in data visualization using Tableau or similar visualization toolMust be able to work on-site in McLean, VirginiaMust be able to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time)Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a US Department of Defense (DoD) Secret security clearancePreferred Qualifications:Strong people leadership skills in an analytics capacityAbility to communicate effectively to stakeholders across the businessSolid organizational skills, particularly in managing multiple project priorities simultaneouslyExpertise in strategy development and business managementUnderstanding of competitive intelligence / research approachesSolid statistical understanding and exposure to more advanced analytics, such as machine learningKnowledge of the aerospace industryExperience with Workday systemSalary Range: 127776 - 191664Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
