Financial Analyst Supervisor
Job Description PURPOSE: This position is responsible for reviewing, reporting, and analyzing financial results and trends in manufacturing. The person in this role will establish and maintain the standard reporting format for manufacturing plant key indicators and financials. They will complete projects that will create value through added efficiencies or deeper insights into the operations. This role will be responsible for leading our manufacturing finance team in data analytics through training and standardizing the tools and data sets that we use. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: . Expert in reporting and analysis for manufacturing finance using BI tools, data warehouses and ERP to its fullest . Train our manufacturing finance teams in data analytics . Design our daily, weekly, and monthly reporting for all operations . Manage the process for key metric scorecards and reports . Drive best practices for manufacturing finance analysis and reporting . Coordinate the annual budget and monthly forecasting for manufacturing . Support corporate manufacturing teams as a finance resource . Lead the finance activities for corporate support departments for manufacturing . Create central repositories for manufacturing finance resources . Provide leadership to our plant financial analyst team . Support our group controller team with projects and analysis . Complete benchmarking studies and help to implement improvements . Support the manufacturing operating standards team . Administer the payment of hourly bonus programs with Human Resources . Take the lead on our month end closing tasks to close our books in an efficient manner . Represent manufacturing finance with the ERP conversion as it relates to reporting, budgets, and forecasts SUPERVISES: At least one analyst position QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required. Education and/or Experience . A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. . Five years of business experience is preferred. . Advanced computer skills including Microsoft products, specifically Excel, Access, Word, and Power Point. Business Intelligence and ERP experience is a plus. . Excellent oral and written communication and organizational skills. . Ability to build effective business relationships. Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to listen and communicate effectively with customers/clients in an effort to carry out responsibilities or respond to common inquiries from customers/clients, or members of the business community and public. Ability to develop presentations to be delivered to top management, public groups, and/or board of directors. Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts like exponents, algebra, quadratic equations and basic logic functions such as if-then-else statements. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as statistical and financial math calculations, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis. Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk and lift a minimum of 20 pounds. WORKING ENVIRONMENT: Typical office environment. The noise level is usually moderate. Some out-of-town travel. Occasional weekend work and extended evening hours may be required .
