The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, managing, and maintaining all the IT services required by the company. The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for resolving escalated service issues, engineering and implementing complex projects, maintaining and overseeing the technical infrastructure of the company. Responsibilities Provide engineering input in the creation and update of our long-term infrastructure roadmap Serves as the technical expert; responsible for the engineering, implementation, installation, operation, and maintenance of all IT Infrastructure Responsible for backup and recovery of all IT infrastructure Interact with Tier 2 service desk to troubleshoot user and system issues Provide after-hours infrastructure support, as needed Educate and guide less experienced engineers Ensure system documentation is maintained Engineer, implement, and support entire VMWare environment and related infrastructure; VMWare certification preferred Engineer, implement and support Microsoft-based server technologies Strong knowledge of PowerShell; to help administer, troubleshoot, and automate environment Proficient understanding of technology areas such as Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, Group Policy Experience deploying and administering Azure environment, to include Virtual Machines, Virtual Networks and Azure Active Directory Experience deploying and administering Office 365 technologies to include Exchange and SharePoint Experience using SCCM for patching and software deployment Experience developing and deploying system images using SCCM Provide engineering design, implementation, operation and support for the entire network infrastructure Install, maintain, and monitor devices including; servers, switches, routers, firewalls, and other devices Design, implement, and troubleshoot networks with multiple WAN connections and VLAN configurations Experience with various monitoring/troubleshooting tools Routing, switching or other industry-related certifications preferred Qualifications 5 + years in a consultative or lead engineer role Identify effective and cost-efficient solutions Quickly solve problems and resolve issues Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneous with frequent interruptions Maintain positive working relationships with co-workers and vendors Quickly learn new tools and resolve issues using all available resources Proactively and continually expand professional development HITT Contracting, Inc. is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
