RESPONSIBILITIES: Kforce has a client in Herndon, VA that is seeking an Azure Data Engineer. Responsibilities: Azure Data Engineer will work in an Azure data warehouse environment, which includes developing database designs and architecture, data modeling and metadata repository creation Works with Architects, Technical Leads and and contributes to the development of technical designs Lead secure data migrations & transformations to/from to our clients, customers and vendors Azure Data Engineer develops, constructs, tests and maintains Azure Data factory flows/pipelines Expose data to end users for consumption such as Power BI or other data integration sources ensuring that the proper security permissions are in place. Azure Data Engineer provides technical database consultation on application development, global infrastructure, and other database administration efforts related to specific DBMS Job Requirements: REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of work experience focused on Azure; experience in lieu of degree will be considered Azure Data Engineer certification 10+ years of experience in writing complex SQL queries and creating data models Proficient with data visualiza tools such as Microsoft Power BI, ability to manipulate raw data into effective visualization dashboards Proven experience performing large data migration and transformation efforts Ability to conduct data profiling, cataloging, and mapping for technical design and construction of technical data flows Excellent organizational and workflow skills; ability to work on simultaneous projects with diverse working groups Ability to work well independently and within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Applicants must be fully authorized to work in the US without sponsorship Desired Qualifications: Familiar with Integrating API's and Data Integrations into Synapse Experience with mergers and acquisitions and data integration Experience with GitHub and CI/CD code deployment Experience with YAML, Python and C# Experience with the Azure.Gov cloud Strong written/verbal communication skills Strong hands on experience with Microsoft Azure Data & Analytics PaaS Services, including Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, and other services within the Azure data analytics stack framework Strong knowledge of various data structures and the ability to extract data from various data sources (such as Mulesoft, CostPoint, Cognos, Informatica, Hyperion, etc.) Kforce is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
