The Inventory Product Lifecycle Management Analyst will help develop processes, drive analytics and methodologies to support business operations across all business channels. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Inventory, this position will be responsible for developing and implementing a new long-term process for Product lifecycle management within the organization that includes optimization of processes, procedures, and workflows. This position will assist other departments ie. Marketing, Category Management, Store Operations, Inventory and Space Planning to implement workflow and process improvements to improve speed to market, product quality, and process efficiency. This position will also work with senior leadership in other divisions of Harbor Freight Tools to enhance visibility, cooperation, and performance in the Product Transition Lifecycle and will have access to senior leadership and potential for future development. This position will also maintain an open line of collaboration and communication with the cross functional teams and stores alike regarding inventory needs and strategies to drive sales and overall support of departmental processes. Duties and Responsibilities:Design, conduct and evaluate experimental operational models of new Transition methodologiesDevelop scorecards, dashboards, and exception reports to pinpoint opportunities for improvement and lead efforts to successfully drive improvement projects to completionPerform quantitative analysis and development of recommendations to optimize business processes and performance. This includes performing root cause analysis of business problems, identifying and recommending solution alternatives, development of reports to track key metrics and resultsPrepare management reports defining and evaluating problems and recommend solutionsDevelopment and management of methodologies to calculate optimal system settings (case packs, ship units) to reduce network operating costs and implement cost reductions through process improvementsReview forecasts, sales trends and advertising strategies to manage flow to achieve appropriate store inventory positions of New ItemsMonitor and manage store forecasts to eliminate forecast errorDetermine strategy and execute on key In Store Events and special flowsCollaborate and communicate across department members to ensure all key processes are on track and to appropriately escalate in the event of delaysAdditional duties as assigned by managerRegular Attendance is required for this positionSkills (Required)This role requires strong project management skills, implementing strategic processes, and strong business analysis and/or database creation.This position is not strictly technical however, will require polished leadership skills, business acumen and deep analytical breadth, which calls for a self-starter with genuine investigative talents to make analytical inquiries into all areas of our enterprise processesProblem solves and highly analyticalExcellent interpersonal skills including a professional and diplomatic demeanorExcellent communication skills including written, verbal, listening, and presentationWillingness to ask questions rather than just follow directions is requiredSkills (Preferred / Desired)Ability to create new and unique ideas and an entrepreneurial spiritProficient using standard Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)Experience (Required)2+ years of progressive responsibility within business analytics, inventory, supply chain or retail management. Additional Qualifications (behavioral traits, certifications, etc)General office environment requiring ability tostand, walk, sit for extended periods of timespeak and listen to others in person and over the phoneuse keyboard and read from computer screen and reportsability to bend at the knee, crawllift up to 15 lbs.
