Paraeducator (Bilingual)

We are seeking multiple bilingual Paraeducators who will serve under the direct supervision of the classroom teacher and teacher’s direct supervisor to assist, support, and enhance an effective in- person and/or distance learning environment and student achievement by working with students in small groups and individuals inside and outside of the classroom. Additionally, the Paraeducator provides the teacher with qualitative data and insight that helps the teacher tailor instruction to support each student’s unique challenges and at times, leads class activities at the teacher’s request.


• Leads small group activities and provides whole-class in-person and/or remote instruction

when needed

  • Provide the teacher with qualitative data

  • Assess students’ digital literacy progress throughout the class sessions and develops an understanding of the individual student needs/challenges in the digital literacies

  • Explain basic Microsoft Office Suite concepts accurately.

  • Assist teachers with developing effective learning plans to address students’ needs and strengths; motivate students and build their confidence and persistence.

  • Prepare presentations, handouts, and activities as needed.

  • Participate in Paraeducator training and professional development sessions

• Provide administrative duties as requested by the teacher to include but not limited to bulletin board creation, collecting or passing out papers and making photocopies when necessary


• High School diploma with a minimum of one (1) year of tutoring or Paraeducator experience or the appropriate combination of education and experience

  • Bilingual proficiency required (Spanish/English or Amharic/English)

  • Ability to speak and write English to near fluency.

  • Demonstrates self-motivation, continual learning, and the ability to take initiative

  • Practice professional and effective interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and with others in a team approach

  • Ability to tutor others in basic math and literacy

  • Ability to balance multiple tasks and establish task priority.

  • Commitment to CRIPCS’s core values and ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners.

Monday – Thursday: 9:00am – 12:00pm & 6:00pm – 9:00pm Friday: 9:00am – 12:00pm
