Technical Specialist/Engineering Consultant, Electrical and Computer Sciences

Sughrue Mion, PLLC, a leading Intellectual Property law firm, located in Washington, DC is seeking a Technical Speciaist/Engineering Consultant in the Electrical and Computer sciences.  This position will assist attorneys by performing various tasks related to patent prosecution including all aspects of preparing and prosecution of patent applications, arranging for patentability, state-of-the-art, infringement and validity searches.  Technical Specialists will prepare and prosecute under the direction and supervision Partners patent applications in various technology areas such as internet technologies, semiconductor design and manufacturing process, computer software and hardware, microprocessor circuits and systems, telecommunications, communications protocols and systems, and electrical circuits.  Consult and report to the attorneys and/or partners of the Firm relating to the preparation and arrangements for patent prosecution.

This position requires fluency in Chinese language, reading and writing, to understand the nature of the patent application.

BS or MS degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or computer science.
