Job Summary: In the primary role as a dealer, reporting to the Poker Supervisor, the Poker Dealer is responsible for providing legendary guest service. Responsible for all aspects of dealing various Poker games, such as, "Hold 'em", "Omaha" and "7 Card Stud" while providing friendly, excellent service to every guest. An additional role as a Supervisor, on an as needed basis, reporting to the Poker Shift Manager and fulfilling the following requirements as a supervisor. Essential Job Functions including the following but other duties may be assigned: When performing as a Supervisor Leads and supports Poker team in order to create legendary customer service. Ensures Poker staff has the training, tools and mindset to enable them in their positions as service professionals. Leads the Poker team in a way that creates continuous improvements in the employee experience. Ensures operational and game integrity. Settles disputes in a professional and timely manner . Handles guest and employee concerns quickly and efficiently . Informs Poker Manager and Surveillance team of irregular ities. Verifies issuance of credit after all necessary signatures are confirmed . Informs Poker Manager of disputes on game. Ensures that required facilities and equipment are available and functioning properly. Guides and instructs assigned personnel in the proper performance of their duties. Reviews and evaluates personnel. Initiates fills and credits to a game as necessary. Records table inventory when the table opens and after it closes. Other duties as assigned. Knows and abides by and Maryland Gaming and Lottery Control Agency regulations, internal controls and company policies and procedures. Always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same. Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies When performing as a Dealer: Delivers great customer service by dealing all games offered by Horseshoe Baltimore in a friendly and helpful manner with an upbeat/positive attitude. Assists in training guests not familiar with various table games products. Deal live poker games and poker tournaments. 6 months Dealing experience required for audition. Demonstrates an effective working knowledge of dealing policies and gaming procedures. Deals games in accordance with internal controls, MLGCA regulations and company policy. Maintains the pace of the poker game. Informs Supervisor and/or Manager of irregularities and disputes on game. Able to maintain applicable departmental dealer efficiency metrics. Responsible for Table Tray Bank assignments. Handles financial transactions at the poker game. Collects the poker revenue ("the rake") from the pot in accordance with departmental procedures. Collects the Promotional money from the pots in accordance with departmental procedures. Monitors the game at hand for irregularities and customer problems. Monitors the chips and money on the game at hand. Enforces poker rules at the game. Works on the poker room floor in other capacities as directed by the Poker Floor Supervisor. Conducts the games in accordance with Company policies and ensures compliance with company policies, procedures and gaming regulatory requirements. Verify and sign for Fills, Credits, Marker Issuance, and all documentation's listed in Horseshoes Internal Controls. Handling guest transactions and notifying Floor Supervisor of any irregularities. Support and maintain Horseshoe courtesy guidelines at all times. Promote outstanding guest and employee relations. Always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same Presents oneself in a polished, professional and service-minded way and encourages others to do the same. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED is required. Must be at least 21-years of age. Knowledge of casino rules, procedures and regulations as related to Poker. Excellent customer service skills are essential. Must be able to perform basic math quickly. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. Must present a well-groomed appearance. Well-developed interpersonal skills. A minimum of 3 years dealing and/or supervisory experienced preferred. Must enjoy entertaining and communicating with the public. Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands: Must be able to work independently. Must be able to sit, stand or walk for long periods of time. Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling employee conflicts. Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; and, have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop and kneel. Respond to visual and aural cues. Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office equipment. Must be able to tolerate areas containing dust, loud noises and bright lights. Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed. Ability to simultaneously manage several projects, and not become frustrated by changing priorities and unforeseen obstacles to achieving objectives. Ability to speak distinctly and persuasively. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
