ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSIdentifies mechanical problems, either visually or with computer diagnostic equipmentPerforms tests on specific parts and systems to confirm proper mechanical function; ensures that all critical parts are examinedPerforms routine and preventive maintenance, including oil changes and tune-upsRepairs or replaces malfunctioning parts and systems, such as brake pads, belts, water pumps, transmissions, and other mechanical partsPerforms further tests, which may include test driving the vehicle, to ensure repairs are completed correctlyPerforms other duties as assignedMINIMUM EDUCATION:High school diploma or equivalentMaster technician certification from National Institute of Automotive Service Excellence preferred, but NOT required. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:Three to five years of related experience preferred.
