Unit Description:As chefs, we have the power to influence lives through the power of food.Sodexo is seeking a Executive Chef 1 for Stevenson University in Owings Mills, MD. The Executive Chef will work on a culinary team to ensure successful food production, training and development, assist with menu development and any catering operations, as needed.Stevenson University is a private university in Baltimore County, Maryland with three campuses. Serving over 2,700 undergraduate students as well as nearly 900 online students, the university is committed to providing exceptional experiences, a connection to career, and a community centered on student success. Sodexo manages resident dining, retail operations and catering.The successful candidate will:implement and standardize all culinary systems and procedures for universities: Catering, Retail menus, LTOs, garnishing, planning charts, production, inventory control, HACCP, cleaning schedules, staffing plans, presentation and quality of food, kitchen cleanliness, safety, etc;be responsible for purchasing, menu compliance, inventory, food cost analysis and food production forecasting;ensure Sodexo Culinary standards including recipe compliance and food quality are implemented;have the ability and willingness to develop and motivate team members to embrace culinary innovations;ensure food safety, sanitation and workplace safety standard compliance; and/orhave working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems.Is this opportunity right for you?
